DXRC NEW QSL METHOD
Posted by 14DX010 on Saturday, September 16 @ 14:24:42 EDT (721 reads)
Topic News
|
Hi all,
On behalf of Delta-Xray Radio Club (DXRC) I am happy to announce that DXRC now offer you 2 new ways to receive your QSL (a QSO confirmation) from a DXRC activity.
But first: You can of course still send your personal QSL-card to DXRC-Bureau and receive a QSL back - just like you always have done. This iss of course not changed ...
DXRC offer this service from Tuesday 29/8/2006 for DX-Expedition 213DX/2.
NEW 1: eQSL
In case you want a super fast confirmation of the QSO we offer you to receive our eQSL. Send an Email to the eQSL-manager and receive an eQSL via email.
The eQSL is an email confirming the QSO and a attached photo with info about the activity.
See example from 213DX/2 infopage: http://www.delta-xray.net/redir.php?URL=213dx_2.html
The eQSL is valid for awards from DXRC award program.
By requesting the eQSL you save approx. 2 Euro (own QSL-card, postage - and the usual enclosed 1 Euro for postage for manager: "contribution")
You can request your eQSL from 213DX/2 via DXRC internetsite:
Go to http://www.Delta-Xray.net - click "activities" and click in the row "request eQSL".
As the eQSL for some activity does not show specific time and date of your QSO, the eQSL might not be valid for awards from all clubs worldwide - however, I recommend managers worldwide to check validity of the DXRC eQSL via DXRC internetsite: http://www.Delta-Xray.net
- click "activities" and select the activity in question.
NEW 2: Request QSL via internet - and save money
In case you want to save money and time, you can request your traditional QSL-card by sending 1 Euro via Paypal or E-gold to DXRC Bureau. This 1 Euro covers postage from DXRC Bureau in Denmark for sending the QSL-card to you.
In this case you save money for your own QSL-card, the postage for sending the card to the manager - and time writting and sending the card (in total of approx. 1 Euro).
Do the following:
1a. Send via Paypal 1 Euro to the email address admin@delta-xray.net
1b. Send via E-gold 1 Euro/us$ via this link: http://3533910.e-gold.com/
2. Send a email to DXRC Bureau (dxrc-bureau@delta-xray.net) with this info:
I have transferred 1 Euro to DXRC Bureau via <> or <> . Please send to me the QSL
- from activity : (example: 213DX/2)
- I am: (example: 11AE321)
At DXRC internetsite you can see latest news about the QSL-status:
Go to http://www.Delta-Xray.net - click "activities" and see the status.
Feel free to translate this message to your own language and send it to other mailinglists.
Thanks.
Best wishes
Mette
President DXRC
PS:
We have just ended an activation with callsign 213DX/2. Some has asked me why the callsign is 213DX/2 (and not 213DX/0 or other callsigns).
The answer is:
DXRC uses this system for issuing callsigns:
- xxxDX/0 is used *only* when the DXCC is activated for the fist time ever at 11-meter. As there has been many activations through the years from 213, we will not devaluate and abuse the /0-callsign
- xxxDX/1 is used for Delta-Xray's FIRST activation from a DXCC that has been activated before at 11-meter.
- xxxDX/2 is used for Delta-Xray's SECOND activation from a DXCC that has been activated before at 11-meter.
- xxxDX/3 is used for Delta-Xray's THIRD activation from a DXCC that has been activated before at 11-meter.
- xxxDX/9 is used for Delta-Xray's 9th activation from a DXCC that has been activated before at 11-meter.
After 9 DXRC activations we will use portable callsigns (example: 213/47DX088) as there is no reason to make an activation from a DXCC that has been so heavily activated.
