Starting Monday Chris, 21AT116, recently active from Market Reef, Uganda and plenty of islands in the Baltic Sea, will be active again from the Åland Islands (EU-002) as 212/21AT116. The planned QTH is Kökar Island, the most southern island in the 212 archipelago. It seems that this is the first ever activity on 11m.
Activity from Kökar Island will start Monday night and will last to Wednesday
afternoon. Chris states he might also be active a litte from Åland mainland and /MM on the trip to
and from Kökar.
Chris will also try to give CW enthusiasts a chance. Call him in CW on the operating frequency and he will respond in CW.
Operating frequency will be 27.520 +/- QRM.
Update from 212/21AT116:
Chris will leave Kökar Island in a few hours. Propagation has been extremely weak since he arrived there 36 hrs ago. He could only log 18 stations so far with the best opening yesterday at 08:30 UTC.
Chris will be again active this morning until 11:00 UTC when he will have to close and pack the station as his departure will be at 12:00 UTC. Afterwards, Chris will be active as 212/21AT116 from the car on the main island (EU-002) from 14:30 UTC until 16:00 UTC.
