  21AT116 Chris returned from his short trip to Kökar Island (EU-002) where he was heard as  212/21AT116 .Here following his report:
Dear Friends,
Here is a short report from my trip in 212 division:
I arrived Monday around midday local time in Mariehamn, propagation was zip-zero-nada and I had about 6 hours to kill before the boat left to Kökar Island. Did some sightseeing and had a few ground wave contacts with 21AT139 Patrik.
At 17:45 UTC the boat landed Kökar Island and was on the air about an hour later, still no propagation! At 08:33 UTC Tuesday morning the first station was logged, it was  161AT080 Mr. Jarek. Propagation was extremely weak and sporadic witch resulted in only 18 stations logged that day.
Wednesday was the last day at Kökar Island and propagation was even worse than Monday! 5 stations were logged, then it was time to pack my equipment and leave the island.
In absence of propagation, I had plenty of time to tour the island and Kökar is really a beautiful place so I might make another visit in the future.
On the way back to Sweden I made one contact while driving through Mariehamn,  1SD196 was the only station logged from mainland Åland.
Equipment used was FT-897 (PWR=100W), loop antenna and Heil HC-4 microphone. Flag QSL is via 21AT011 Mr Erik and it will also confirm EU-002 and Kökar island.
Thanks to everyone who tried, this time propagation was not with us... Maybe next time!
