236OD001 Max
Posted on Friday, August 05 @ 10:53:42 EDT by 13DX028

Activations 236OD001 QSL As stated on his personal webpage, 236OD001 Max is supposed to show up on band within the next days.

Max, aka ex-38OX001/38FAT010, has just arrived in Bangladesh and will stay there for about two years. He had to wait for his equipment to arrive in Bangladesh and now that area suffers from a heavy rain period. Therefore the exact date of transmission is still uncertain.

Max hopes to be active as much as possible during his time there using a Kenwood TS 530S and a Hurricane-55 with ground plane kit.

It certainly will be nice to hear signals out of Bangladesh again after there hasn't been too much activity from there lately. Of course, the full-scale operation of 236IR/0 (2740 contacts in 2002 by 13IR707 Ted and 13IR102 Lars) should have made most DXers a new country, but beside 236RK001 Ashraf and 236CA001 Faisal, it's been pretty quiet from there.

QSL for 236OD001 is via the Oscar Delta QSL Bureau, P.O.Box 443, 8660 Skanderborg, Denmark

Further information about Max and his trip can be found on his webpage: http://www.236od001.com.

It shouldn't be necessary to mention, but as for all activations, please try to insert a SAE (self addressed envelope) or address label together with standard contribution to help the QSL manager responding to the high number of QSL requests.

Update:
Max just showed up on 590U as 236OD001 with strong signals into Australia. Conditions seems to be fine today so listen carefully.

My apologies for the incorrect callsign 'spot' on Cluster.dk! Should have been 236OD001.
Max came in as a breaker while I was in QSO with 234SD/0 Henry and Henry called him in. Max was testing and only wanted a signal check at the time. Said he would be back later today for more tests etc. Not sure when the activation gets under way. Nice to hear him out there 5/9 with his vertical antenna. Good Luck with the propagations!
