| Just wondering what you guys/gals think is enough time to receive a qsl. I have sent for many qsl's and have not received them yet. I don't want to get in too big of a hurry and start sending email when maybe I have not waited long enough. Please let me know how long you wait before sending an email to ask where it is. |

normal time for me is 1/2 - 1 year for an activation/iota ses etc
normal time for qso with othr dxcc is all between 2-8 months or so depends on how quick the other party is with returning qsl s
some are quick some are slow as i receive sometimes qsl returns from over more then 2 years |

It depends if country counts as a new one or not on my case.... . But 1 year should be more than enough to confirm a contact including delays, troubles and printer´s affaires...If I were you I´d start to send reminders within a year or so after the contact...that would be a reasonable period. 73s and Good Luck!

the minimum we can do when we print via a printer is 2 months. but I believe that we can expect for a QSL less than 1 year. after 1 year, we can say there's a big problem, héhéhé!
The main is to receive. think that printing and designing a QSL is not so easy !!
the design is a big work and take many hours. be patient please.... |

Well another nice subject: What the time to wait for a qsl??
It depends with the person we deal, you know that it's extremely hard to get good qsl exchanged, but today we have a lot of tools on internet to help us on that, like web pages with black list etc etc.
Before we send a qsl we need to start to look for the call to see if it's a clean callsign without problems on the past. About the time maybe a lot of one's don't knowed that i was qsmanager of some FAT activities and i can tell you that i always take about 6 months to design, print and send back to the mail office all the cards. Remember 75FAT/AZ006 Pico Isl, more then 1600 qso's about 800 to 1000 qsl's rxed and sended and others one's that i managed.
I believe that 6 months should be the perfect time but also until 1 year it's not so much, after that it's time to start send some e-mails or letters to remind the person (qsm) about that.
Well these is my opinion but others opinion's are welcomed.
Hope catch you soon again.
73's to all.

I agree with Paulo ..... around 6 months should be plenty time to conduct a 2-way personal QSL exchange
Of course there can be extenuating circumstances which cause delays and these generally cannot be helped so allowing a bit longer when major SES are involved is pertinent.
The advent of PC based logging programmes has certainly helped I think....in the old paper logs it was easy enough to miss sending a card if you didn't pay attention, I know I was guilty of that on occasions
Having the information on your PC as to exactly when you sent cards, what cards you need to send and their return is a great bonus especially if you're a bit older and forgetful like me
Having said all that I recently received on from 2003 so it just proves that everything comes to those who wait _________________ Regards,
