Returning to this glorious hobbie

I am returning to the hobbie of radio after a break.

In the 80's I used to be 26 ALFA TANGO 880 and very active Very Happy

The interest has never left me to be honest but other things like like ect have gotten in the way.

A friend gave me a short waver reciver he no longer wanted and was soon searching 27.555MHS USB and the interest gethere strong again.

I am doing some reasearch for a couple of months before getting my new radio but I have decided on the radio I want more or less now Very Happy

I look forward to being active on the air again soon.

Does the radio interest ever really go away ?

Hey Brett, nice to hear you and Happy New Year.

I have decided on the following rig.

An Allinco DX - 77 (converted for 11 meters ) PEP 100 watts.

The aerial will be a home brew Double Bazooka dipole, the plans converted from the 10 meter dipole up as high as I can get it on the roof running South East.

I am going to try and get another double bazooka up to cover other parts of the world also.
