Hi Guys,
Thought I would go first on the 'off topic' forum.
Who do you think out of these teams will get through to the next round of the champions league?
Chelsea or Barcelona, Arsenal or Real Madrid?
I predict Barcelona and Arsenal will qualify.
And as a note, I think Liverpool will get to the final again.

Hello Matt,
Needless to say that God will save the Queen at the end...
It´s hard to say who will qualify between Chelsea and Barcelona. FCB is playing at very high level and it´s a pleasure to see them play. I have doubts with Real Madrid. They´re not doing a great season but all would depends on the first Match at the Santiago Bernabeu.
At this time any team is capable of winning the Real Madrid hands down but I wouldn´t bet anything.
I´ve good fellings with Olympic of Lyon wich was one of the best teams (if not the best) in the last edition. They got a similar play as the Barcelona: very electric and spectacular...
Let see...any bet??....73s

I wish, ooops, I think Chealsea and Real Madrid, the final will be Villareal Vs Real Madrid.
Winner Real Madrid, for the 10th time.

Well Guys these year you have lucky, my team it's out of the champions League to soon. It's only one of the teams with more entries on C.L. since it started. Maybe next year we will catch you, of corse the team it's just the best team from Portugal, F.C. Porto.
Remember these team 2-3 years ago?? We win all in Europe just miss the Super-Cup agains't Valencia, but all others cups winned hehehe.
Of corse in the end of season the biggest clubs from Europe take us the best players: Deco to Barcelona, Coach Mourinho, Ricardo Carvalho, Paulo Ferreira to Chelsea, Maniche, Costinha and Derlei to D.Moscow etc etc. 100 Millions of euros come to F.C.Porto but last year the team doesn't run well. Hope now we can put on the field a new team. At the moment we are on 1st on the Portuguese League but we miss the 4th finals of the Champions League.
See you next year guys to back on the top of Europe hehehehe.

Well, well!
What a game last night - Real Madrid V Arsenal, the Galacticos didn't play well at all. Arsenal were magnificent and Henry was superb. If Arsenal play like that again in the return leg it will be bye, bye Madrid!
Your thoughts?

Matt,
The best thing for the whites was the final result. Arsenal did a great job. In fact, it has been one of the worse matches done by the RM lately. Ronaldo was completely out and the trainer didn´t have the courage to send him to the changing room. Raul was ok a few years ago...now he doesn´t give anything new to the team. Nothing more to added about Woodgate. He´s a good player....but can´t play more than 2 matches continuosly. I think Real Madrid need more than ever a refresh in the 3 lines. Someone with more ideas. Someone who play vertically. Anyway, I won´t be happy if I were a gunner´s fan. The result was obviously short and I think RM can score at least a goal in England...Will see!

Fernando,
I agree with you that I think RM will score back here in London. Raul has had it now, he doesn't seem interested and doesn't have the spark needed to get the team going.
As for Barcelona, I was at the game and they were excellent, I think they have a real chance to do something in the champions league this season.
BTW - Any Spanish friends, I will be in Barcelona on Sunday 5th March till Wednesday 8th for work at the Chelsea game but may have some free time if anyone is near by and wants to drink a beer.

Liverpool will have to start performing away from home.
I am a season ticket holder at Anfield so go most home games and many away |
