|
|
Hi guys,
In 234 I heard many times DL96 in CW on 555. (Thought beaming Indian Ocian from 234) So it is probarbly situated in that region somewhere.
The same signal i heard a few times back home, openings were then to 153 division or middeleast wich indicated it's again from that region.
does any one know the location??? output power antenna etc?
or have any other intresting beacons?? wich can help us indicate where prop is comming from.
Tnx in advange henry 19SD348 |

Hello Henry,
Sometimes you can use these beacons:
Each beacon transmits every three minutes, day and night. A transmission consists of the callsign of the beacon sent at 22 words per minute followed by four one-second dashes. The callsign and the first dash are sent at 100 watts. The remaining dashes are sent at 10 watts, 1 watt and 100 milliwatts.
SLOT CALL COUNTRY
1 4U1UN UNITED NATIONS
2 VE8AT CANADA
3 W6WX USA
4 KH6WX HAWAII
5 ZL6B NEW ZEALAND
6 VK6RBP AUSTRALIA
7 JA2IGY JAPAN
8 RR9O RUSSIA
9 VR2B HONG KONG
10 4S7B SRI LANKA
11 ZS6DN SOUTH AFRICA
12 5Z4B KENYA
13 4X6TU ISRAEL
14 OH2B FINLAND
15 CS3B MADEIRA
16 LU4AA ARGENTINA
17 OA4B PERU
18 YV5B VENEZUELA
Frequency is 28.200 MHz on CW mode. Sometimes it helps, but other times there is propagation and you don't hear those beacons.
73's and good DX!

Sometimes i can hear a CW beacon on 27.550,when we are getting propogation from the Pacific. Also i hear a Weather Fax transmission on 26.123 usb ,when i beam s/p Europe. So i'm beaming over S.E Asia .This is a good indication for me that the band may open to the North West.
Good Hunting.
