SD World Contest First Leg. What is your score?

Hi Guys!!!!

I have been working the SD contest and had great fun with the first leg!

But I wonder what the winning score for last year was? I think that I am doing well in the contest but would still like to know what I am competing against. So how did you guys do? What is your score after the first leg of the contest?

What are the prizes up for grabs for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place?

I will be active again this coming weekend and I am looking for a couple of multipliers!!!! So come and say hi to me. I will be active on +/- 27.590 USB

I'm very happy to contact you in contest SD....My qrz in contest is 3SD1000/Multi...Active by 3SD031 Vaz and 3SD139 Nunes...The first part is very good propagation...I work 149 PRG and 35 DXCC....I hope to good propa the next week....all the best for you and good luck..

That is very good! I only managed to work 105 stations and 25 DXCC let’s hope for good dx this coming weekend! I have managed to get sponsorship from one of the radio dealers so I will be having the big Kenwood radios with me this weekend! Can’t wait

Conditions from last weekend wos very bad in 45 divison!
I was finished with 23 contact's and 7 DXCC! Crying or Very sad

Hi All

Yes Nicola I hope to hear your station in contest. I have worked Div 45 in the contest but it was weak and low down.

As I said I have got sponsorship from a local radio dealer with the latest and greatest Kenwood equipment so I cannot wait for the weekend. I am going to collect the radios tonight. I am not operating from home in Johannesburg. I am transmitting from the far north in the country in the Waterberg Mounting Range so I am on top of a hill with a beautiful view.

You guys won’t believe it but last weekend in the contest my working conditions where only the following:

Radio: Kenwood TS140S
Power: 100 Watt
Antenna: ½ wave vertical about 11 meters in the sky

I don’t have an amplifier or a beam for 27 MHz so if you take my equipment in note I really think that I am doing well in the contest.
What type of equipment are you guys working with? Hopefully next year I will have a 4 element Quad and a 1Kw amplifier.

Yes Sam I know I think you work with my friend 45IF025 mr Bojan!!!

My equipment for contest was very small tranciever President Jackason, 1/2L vertical antena!!! Only!
But I contact all what I hear!!!
I have also 3el Moxon antena and FT757GX by Yeasu.

Hi All

Well Nicola I hope that I hear you over the weekend during contest. I picked up the Kenwood radios last night and will be programming the radio to my needs for the contest over the weekend. It is a shame that I will have to return them on Monday but at least I know that I will have great fun this weekend.

I am travelling tomorrow morning to the Botswana border to start the erection of the station for Saturday. If I don’t get change to get a quick glimpse at the website I wish you all good luck in the contest and hopefully I will work you.

I NEED A COUPLE OF MULTIPLIERS!!!!!!

Hi All

Well what strange propagation from South Africa over the weekend. On Saturday we had normal propagation with Europe flying in, but on Sunday we had radio blackout after radio blackout. I worked countries that I have never worked before on 27 MHz which gave me nice multipliers at the end. I have got 178 contacts with 46 dxcc logged. It is just a waiting game to get the qsl conformations now!

30SD1000/Multi I heard you ones or twice on 555 calling! How did you do?

Ok guys so what is your score with the contest all over and done with?

You can't show us your images from your computer, they have to be uploaded in a web server, so you can put them into a web site.

For example in http://www.putfile.com/ you can create and account and upload your images, then you can show us your images as this way.
